Easter, Part 3

On the Hunt! Our church had an Easter egg hunt in the gym after services. You were there last year for it, but you were so much more into it this year. It was so fun to watch you!

I found a good one, Mama!

Climbing all over!

You and your friend, "Howie" (Halle)

You and your friend, Kaitlyn
You loved the real bunny that was there and wanted to hold it so badly. And the first chance you got, you grabbed it by its neck! Thankfully, it was a nice bunny!

Tuckered out on the ride home.
Trying to get some pics of mama and Sophie. Your smile is so cute here, I wish we could have gotten it from the front.
Mischevious grin!
Playing with Gavin
Reading and listening to the music of "Here Comes Peter Cottontail" (gift from Daddy)

Easter, part 2

We had a great Easter! You loved your Easter gifts and all the hub-bub of the day. I also wanted to make sure that you knew what Easter is really about. Every night when we pray, you claps your hands together, and I pray that you will get saved early on in life. It's one of my most fervent prayers. I've told you several times about salvation and how you can accept Jesus as Savior someday. I know that you obviously don't understand yet, but I want to make sure that you hear it often. On Easter morning, I was explaining to you that God loved you so much that He made a way for you to spend forever with Him in Heaven. I told you that His Son, Jesus, had come to earth, lived a perfect life, and died so that He could take our punishment for all the bad things we do. Your eyes were fixed on me this whole time. I told you then that Jesus was so powerful that He didn't stay dead. I told you that He came back to life and came right out of that tomb! At this point, in the sweetest, most excited voice, you said, "Awww!" My heart melted to hear your excitement. I know that you don't "get it" already, but I pray that enough of those sweet moments will create a soft heart in you that will be ready to accept Him at an early age. I think God has big things planned for you, little one!

Easter, Part 1

Your Easter basket
You were so excited to find this outside your door in the morning!

So excited about your "new shoes" which you said very clearly.

Sweet little bunny!

Outside!

I can hardly get you to stay inside these days! You love the outdoors. You love:

Picking up "cheesetrees branches...

Collecting rocks. You have a small plastic bowl that you carry around and fill up with rocks. You love it for some reason!

You love figuring out how to ride a tricycle. You haven't quite mastered the pedaling aspect, but working on it. You mostly just like getting on and off it! This tricycle in the picture is the same one that Uncle Adam and I both used when we were kids.

A Day of Firsts

Several firsts all in one day!

First time eating corn-on-the-cob... which you loved!
It's hard to tell in this picture, but your hair is also in a ponytail for the first time. I'm so glad that it's long enough for a ponytail, just in time for summer!

You also got your first skinned knee that day! Poor baby. You were fine until I tried to clean it out. The band-aid was pretty cool though.
P.S. Aren't your little hands just the sweetest things?!

Ketchup!

We discovered the other day that you love ketchup!!!
